# Nano Banana Pro / 2 redirected to GA versions from Jun 20

> Google is retiring gemini-3-pro-image-preview and gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview around June 25, with docs and model libraries now recommending the de-preview GA names. From June 20 we redirect both models to the GA Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 — identical quality, no service interruption, nothing for customers to change.

Google is retiring the preview models — `gemini-3-pro-image-preview` and `gemini-3.1-flash-image-preview` are slated to shut down around June 25, and the official docs and model libraries now point to the de-preview GA names. From June 20 we route requests to the GA `gemini-3-pro-image` (Nano Banana Pro) and `gemini-3.1-flash-image` (Nano Banana 2).

About the redirect (FYI, no action required):

* Quality: GA and preview are identical — this is simply the de-preview promotion.
* Calls: keep using your existing key and model names; the platform points to the GA version automatically, with zero code changes.
* Continuity: this redirect is a precautionary move with no interruption to service.
