# Claude Opus 5 Launch: Same Price as Opus 4.8, Near-Fable 5 Intelligence

> Anthropic released Claude Opus 5 on July 24 — internal benchmarks surpass Fable 5 at half its price. APIYI has launched claude-opus-5 and claude-opus-5-thinking at $5/$25 per million tokens, identical to Opus 4.8, with a 1M context window and thinking on by default.

🚀 **Claude Opus 5 is live: \$5/\$25, same as Opus 4.8, with intelligence approaching Fable 5**

Anthropic's next-gen Opus released 7/24: scores 43.3% on the internal Frontier Bench v0.1, ahead of the twice-as-expensive Fable 5 (33.7%); 1M context window (default and maximum), 128K output, thinking on by default, and five effort levels from low to max.

Both model names are live on APIYI:

* `claude-opus-5`: the standard model name, callable via both the OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-native endpoints
* `claude-opus-5-thinking`: the thinking variant, same price and groups
