# Transient 502s on the Site: Please Retry Your Calls

> The site is intermittently returning transient 502s; the system auto-restarts and recovers within 1 minute. During a 502, API calls fail but are not billed — please retry. Preliminary cause is abnormal traffic plus a memory spike; root-cause investigation continues.

Preliminary analysis points to abnormal traffic combined with a memory spike; the exact root cause is still under investigation. During a 502 window, API requests cannot reach the gateway and calls fail (failed calls are not billed); the system auto-restarts and recovers within 1 minute.

What to do:

* API side: simply retry the call; we recommend enabling automatic retry in your client
* Web side: refresh the page to get back to a normal view
