# New FAQ: Terminal Says apiyi Command Not Found

> Typing apiyi after running npx apiyi@latest check fails with command not found, because npx runs the CLI without installing it. A new FAQ covers the three ways to run it; from CLI 0.2.2 the hints print the full command.

📚 **`apiyi` says command not found after `npx apiyi@latest check`? Keep the `npx apiyi@latest` prefix on later commands**

`npx` downloads and runs the CLI temporarily; it does not install an `apiyi` command. Save your key with `npx apiyi@latest auth set-key`, or install once with `npm i -g apiyi` to use plain `apiyi`.

From CLI 0.2.2, hints print the full command when running through npx, and `--help` explains it. See [Why Does My Terminal Say apiyi Command Not Found?](/en/faq/apiyi-cli-command-not-found)
