# DeepSeek cache billing by API format

> DeepSeek requests through APIYI using the Anthropic-native /v1/messages format need the ClaudeCode token group for cache billing, with a default 5% discount. Chat Completions supports cache billing in the default group. The integration guides now explain this distinction.

📖 **DeepSeek cache billing depends on the token group for your API format. The integration guides now explain the requirements.**

When calling DeepSeek through APIYI, choose the group according to your request format:

* **Anthropic-native format** (`/v1/messages`): select the `ClaudeCode` group to receive cache billing. This group also has a default **5% discount**.
* **Chat Completions** (`/v1/chat/completions`): the default group already supports cache billing.
