gpt-image-2-all generation speed is back to normal · most images now complete within 60 seconds
The slow requests caused by this week’s ChatGPT website image-generation outage have subsided as official capacity recovered — first-byte times now hold steady at 31-58 seconds in our tests, and no special timeout handling is needed anymore. Calls that took over 300 seconds during the outage will still get credits reissued in one batch over the weekend (expected from Saturday 2026/7/11, UTC+8) as planned.
