2026/10/19 10:55 (UTC+8) · Model Status · OpenAI ⚠️ The gpt-image-2.5-vip series is at concurrency capacity, and we are adding resources Current status of the GPT-Image reverse-channel models:
  • gpt-image-2.5-sunburst-vip / gpt-image-2.5-flare-vip: at concurrency capacity, some requests fail, resources being added
  • gpt-image-2-vip: mostly normal
  • gpt-image-2.5-all: stable
  • Official gpt-image-2.5-sunburst: operating normally
Until the -vip series recovers, you can use the 2nd-generation gpt-image-2-vip for now, or go straight to the official gpt-image-2.5-sunburst. On stability expectations for reverse channels: they depend on provider-side supply and unpredictable risk controls, so concurrency shortages can happen and we cannot commit to very high stability — though with heavy investment in operations and engineering, overall availability remains high. Workloads that need a stability commitment should use the official models; when using reverse channels, add client-side retries and multi-model fallbacks. For parameters and setup, see the GPT-Image-2-VIP overview and the GPT-Image 2.5 official overview. Thanks for your understanding — we keep operating around the clock.
