2026/10/15 16:48 (UTC+8) · Model Status · OpenAI ⚠️ gpt-image-2-vip is under heavy load; when the reverse-engineered models are unavailable, use the official models as a fallback first Requests to gpt-image-2-vip have surged today and demand is outpacing the reverse-engineered route — this is a spike in demand, not a cut in capacity — so some requests return 429 or queue longer. gpt-image-2-all availability has also dropped because of today’s provider-side OpenAI (ChatGPT web) outage. Current status by route:
  • Official gpt-image-2 and gpt-image-2.5 series (e.g. gpt-image-2.5-sunburst): working normally, billed per token, suitable as a fallback
  • gpt-image-2.5-sunburst-vip: runs on capacity separate from gpt-image-2-vip, currently doing better
  • gpt-image-2-vip: heavily loaded, some requests fail or are slow
  • gpt-image-2-all / gpt-image-2.5-all: availability reduced by the provider-side outage
